Polar Plunge 2012 Kick-Off Party

Levittown resident, Lance Wolff and Kristina Aquilone from Special Olympics New York will be stopping by Miller's Ale House in Levittown, NY on Monday, February 6th at 6:00 P.M. to begin to coordinate the 2012 Polar Plunge team members at the Miller's Ale House Kick-Off party.  Miller's managers, Matt Allgauer and Marissa Duffy will be available to assist with the registration for new team members and accept donations / pledges for this exciting event.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Plunge, it is an incredible experience that should not be missed.  The Polar Plunge is one of the annual fundraisers sponsored by the New York Law Enforcement Torch Run.  There are over 51,000 athletes who participate in the Special Olympics' program in our state. Last year, more than 550 plungers took to the water at this exciting festival.

The 2012 Polar Plunge, also called "Freezin' for a Reason", will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 12 PM at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington, New York to benefit Special Olympics New York.  If you are unable to make the Kick-Off party, you can register at 10:00 A.M. on the day of the event.  Those who are more faint-hearted, please become a supporter by contributing to this worthy cause.  The Miller's Ale House team welcomes all plungers, supporters, and contributions large and small.  Help us continue to offer the athletes a full season of competitions and training.  More information can be found at the Miller's Ale House team sponsor page at: http://tinyurl.com/7g2nff6
