Levittown Community Church at 100 Periwinkle Road in Levittown is excited to announce a benefit concert on Veterans' Day, Thursday, November 11 at 7:30 pm.
Levittown was built after WWII to give our returning servicemen affordable homes, houses of worship, schools for their children and a community in which they could raise their families. We are a town started by veterans. It is only fitting that we would come together in appreciation on Veterans' Day to honor our veterans and active service men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom and safety.
All veterans and their families are invited as our special guests. We would like members of Levittown and its surrounding communities to come and enjoy the evening while, at the same time, showing support for our veterans and service men and women. The price of admission to this concert will be donation of at lease one of the items listed below, which will be collected for local veteran's organizations. Many of these organizations have supplies that are running low due to lack of support for the vets. Let's all get together on November 11th and show how much we appreciate the bravery and sacrifice of our service men and women, both past and present, by donating as many of the following items as we are able:

Bar soap, bristle hair brushes, combs, cans of coffee (decaf or regular), denture adhesive (medium size Fixadent or Poli Grip), deodorant, gloves (ladies and mens), lap robes (36" x 48"), powdered laundry detergent (bucket), liquid body soap/body wash, men's underwear (S,M,L), nail clippers (small & large), phone cards (10 and 15 minute); postage stamps, quad razors, shampoo or baby shampoo, slipper socks, supermarket (local) gift cards, sweatshirts/sweatpants (S,M,L), toothbrushes, toothpaste (small or medium tubes); ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR FEMALE VETERANS: Underwear (S,M,L), decorative pins, scarves, moisturizers, hair trinkets, PJ's/Nightgowns, slippers (non-slip soles).
Performances for this benefit concert will include some local talent such as Samantha Bishop, Bob Koenig, Life Shield, Long Island Brass & Percussion, the combined choirs of Levittown Community Church and Parkway Community Church of Hicksville, as well as a few surprises. America's Vet Dogs, American Legion, Korean War Veterans, Soldiers' Angels, Veterans of Foreign War and The Wounded Warrior Project are just some of the Veterans organizations which will be represented.

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing you for our 'Tribute to Veterans' Benefit Concert on Thursday, November 11th. Doors will open at 7:00 pm. and the Tribute will begin at 7:30. We are located in the flower section of Levittown at 100 Periwinkle Road.
