Former Levittown Resident John Maurice Adrien Passes Away

John Maurice Adrien, 76, formerly of Levittown, passed away June 1, 2012 after a long illness.

Adriend was a father of five from his first marriage to Carole Vesque, who has also passed. Surviving are daughters: Patricia Cottone and Lisa Kuruvilla. Sons: John, Daniel and Thomas, eight grandchildren and countless friends. Also surviving, wife, Florence Chester Vesque of Boyton Beach, Florida.

He was a proud immigrant from St Julien sur Sarthe, France at 27 years old who cherished his US Citizenship which he received decades later. He spent his later years in Florida.

Better known as Green Dragon on the road or Frenchy to his friends, John was an Artisan cabinet maker and business owner throughout the years. He served the French military before he decided to cross the Atlantic. He will be missed and remembered.

A small memorial will be held at Northport Park, Northport, NY at 12:30 pm on Sunday, Sept. 2, followed by gathering at Ships In at 2 pm in town.
