Press release from Levittown Public Schools:

September 18, 2020

Fifth grade students from Lee Road Elementary School in the Levittown Public
Schools observed International Dot Day on Sept. 15. The special day was created based on
Peter H. Reynolds’ book “The Dot.” The story encourages students to “make their mark” in
the world and has inspired students across the globe to create, have courage and
collaborate. At Lee Road Elementary School, fifth graders in Eileen Vogel and Valerie
Dillon’s classes read “The Dot” and discussed the theme of perseverance. The students then
participated in a connect the dots activity with pictures containing up to 600 dots.
