Levittown, New York — New York is home to students who are showing up, standing out and making a real impact in their schools and communities. To celebrate them, Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to spotlight local students excelling in academics, athletics, the arts and beyond.

Lukas is a remarkably caring and empathetic young student who brings kindness and energy into every space he enters. He makes a genuine effort to befriend all of his classmates and is the first to offer help when someone is struggling.

Recently, he demonstrated exceptional courage by standing up for a student who was being bullied, both in the classroom and on the bus. Instead of looking away, Lukas chose to intervene, support the student and alert adults when needed.

His actions reflect integrity, leadership and a deep sense of compassion well beyond his years. For these reasons, I am proud to nominate Lukas for this award.
