Investigation Into Nassau Heroin OD Deaths Leads to 3 Arrests: Police
A 25-year-old man sold over a half an ounce of cocaine and 312 bags of heroin to an undercover detective, police say.

An investigation into three fatal heroin overdoses in Nassau County has led to the arrest of three men, Nassau Police announced Wednesday.
During a two-month investigation, the Nassau/Suffolk Heroin Task Force conducted numerous undercover buys with Levittown a man believed to be responsible for supplying heroin to the area, police said.
Thomas C. Curry, 25, sold 312 bags of heroin and over a half an ounce of cocaine to an undercover detective, police said.
The investigation also led to the arrest of 32-year-old Brian P. Altman, of Levittown, who is Curry’s source of heroin supply, police said.
Richard F. Smith, 28, of New York City, was also arrested, police said.
Both Altman and Smith are currently on New York State parole, police said.
Curry, of 38 Jester Lane, is charged with eight counts of possession of a controlled substance and seven counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance. Altman, of 38 Eden Lane, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. Smith is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
