Levittown Educator Named Nassau BOCES Education Partner
Levittown educator Andrea Mortillaro has been honored with the Nassau Board of Cooperative Educational Services Education Partner Award.

LEVITTOWN, NY — A Levittown educator was recently honored with a Nassau Board of Cooperative Educational Services Partner Award, according to a school district news release.
Andrea Mortillaro, a special education teacher from Wisdom Lane Middle School, has been selected as one of 15 people to receive the 2020 Nassau BOCES Education Partner Award, which recognizes school administrators, school board members, teachers, organizations and more for their profound effect on public education in Nassau County.
She will join her fellow award recipients for a virtual celebration of the Education Partner Awards on April 13.

Mortillaro has been an integral member of the school community since joining the Wisdom Lane Middle School staff in 2003, officials said. She is one of two teachers to be honored in the 2020 award program for her commitment to the students of Levittown.
“She is a kind, caring, educator who exemplifies the district motto of ‘Success for Every Student,’” said Wisdom Lane Principal John Avena. “Her teaching style is student-centered which helps her make life-long connections with her students.”
