Families were encouraged to decorate their vehicles to mark the occasion and drive up in front of their child’s respective school building for their fifth grader to receive items such as their certificate of completion, yearbook, awards and school memorabilia. Many of the schools had music playing outside as the graduates were announced one by one. Staff members cheered on the students as they proudly waved goodbye to their teachers and principal through their windows and sunroofs, ready to take on the next chapter in their academic careers.
