Levittown Fire Department Beats Elements To Douse Fire

The fire broke out at about 2:45 a.m., department officials say.

LEVITTOWN, NY. — The Nassau County Fire Marshal is investigating a Stonecutter Road house fire Monday after the home’s attached garage caught fire at about 2:45 a.m. Monday morning.

Levittown department officials said standby crews were already in quarters due to the snow storm and were on the road within two minutes of the alarm coming in. Upon arrival, department officials said the fire was on the first and second floors of the home with all occupants evacuated. The fire required operation of three lines, with mutual aid coming in from departments in Bethpage, East Meadow and Wantagh, officials said.

No injuries were reported and the fire marshal is now investigating, department officials said.
