Levittown Honda City Employee Arrested for Forgery

Mirjana Cindric is accused of using customers' credit card numbers to make personal purchases.

Mirjana Z. Cindric, of Oceanside, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Hewlett for forgery, according to the Nassau County Police Department. 

Cindric, 29, is accused of taking the credit card numbers of two customers at Honda City in Levittown, where she worked as a secretary.

According to detectives, Cindric transcribed the card numbers onto a piece of paper on March 12 and March 20 and then used them to make purchases at stores and a restaurant in Island Park.

When the defendant was investigated further, it was discovered that she had also taken credit cards sometime between April 11 and April 29 from her boyfriend's 92-year-old grandmother and used them to make purchases, police said. 

Cindric surrendered at the Nassau County Police Department's Fourth Precinct and is charged with three counts of Forgery 2nd degree, one count of Grand Larceny 4th degree, three counts of Identity Theft 2nd degree and four counts of Petit Larceny. She will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
