Levittown House Fire Displaces 5 Residents, Fire Marshal Says
The fire was called in just after noon, fire officials said.
LEVITTOWN, NY — Five Levittown residents are out of their Hamlet Road home Thursday after a house fire broke out just after noon, fire officials said.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal reported a fire Thursday that had been called in at 12:04 p.m., with the Levittown Fire Department first to the scene. Mutual aid came from the Bethpage, East Meadow and Wantagh departments, officials said, with a total presence of about 50 firefighters.
Upon arrival, fire officials said firefighters saw the fire on the outside of the two-story home, which they were able to bring under control within half an hour without any injuries being reported.

The red cross was not contacted for assistance, while the fire marshal and NCPD arson bomb squad are investigating the cause of the fire, the fire marshal’s office said.
