Levittown Man Punched After Refusing To Hand Over Cash: Police

Ryan Romero faces attempted robbery and assault charges, authorities say.

LEVITTOWN, NY — A man was arrested in Levittown on Tuesday afternoon after assaulting another 18-year-old.

Ryan Romero is charged with attempted robbery and assault.

Detectives said the victim drove past his home on Cotton Lane and Romano began to follow him. Romano approached the driver's side window and demanded his money, authorities said.

When the victim refused, Romero punched him in the face.

He was arrested a short time later at his home without incident. The victim refused medical attention.

Romero was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
