Summer is a high achieving student who maintains outstanding grades and is not afraid to push herself in advanced placement and college-level courses. With an impressive cumulative weighted grade point average of 103.61, she is currently enrolled in AP Biology, AP Calculus BC and Science Research I, among others.
In addition, Summer has been recognized throughout her high school career with awards for her exceptional math and science skills. As a sophomore, her research paper won the 2020 Long Island Youth Summit Best Overall Science Paper and she was the third place winner in the Nassau Community College Science Fair. As a junior, Summer and her partner wrote a 12-page, peer-reviewed research paper that was published in the Middle State Geographer, the official academic journal of the Middle States Division of the Association of American Geographers.
