Todd Winch, the assistant superintendent for instruction, personally acknowledged each trustee and noted their service time on the board. President Peggy Marenghi, Vice President Jennifer Messina, Secretary James Moran and trustees Marianne Adrian, Dillon Cain, Christina Lang and Michael Pappas have devoted a combined total of 72 years to the students of Levittown as board members.

Students from the National Junior Honor Society at Jonas E. Salk Middle School, the student governments at Wisdom Lane Middle School and Division Avenue High School and senior class officers from MacArthur High School came up to express their gratitude and present gifts. Board members received customized Division Avenue sweatshirts and wood-carved name plaques made by MacArthur students, among other presents.
Each elementary school created an appreciation poster, and the six were hung up during the meeting. Gratitude was also expressed by the athletic department and PTA. Additionally, board members received citations from elected officials with Nassau County and the New York State Assembly and Senate.

Ms. Marenghi said that the board was humbled and grateful, and said their success is a result of the "togetherness" that exists in Levittown to ensure that all children receive a great education.
