Levittown School District Appoints New Assistant Superintendent for Instruction

Congratulations to Todd H. Winch!

LEVITTOWN, NY - The Levittown School District recently announced that they have appointed Todd H. Winch as assistant superintendent for instruction for the 2016-2017 school year.

Winch will replace Debbie Rifkin, who will be taking over the position of assistant superintendent for administration and personnel.

Rifkin will be replacing Darlene Rhatigan, who recently retired.

Winch, a Huntington Station resident, joins Levittown from the Plainedge School District, where he currently serves as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

He will be returning to Levittown where he previously held many administrative positions in the district, including director of pupil services from 2009 to 2011, assistant director of pupil services from 2006 to 2009 and social studies chairperson at Wisdom Lane Middle School from 2004 to 2006.

He began his educational career at Levittown’s Division Avenue High School as a social studies teacher in 1995.

“I am happy that my career has brought me back to the Levittown School District,” Winch said. “I look forward to working with parents, administrators and staff to provide opportunities for success for all of the district’s students.”

Winch received a bachelor’s degree in history, master’s degree in liberal studies and school district administrator certification from Stony Brook University.
