Levittown Sex Offender Busted Again
Former teacher faces three and half to seven years behind bars.

Losing his teaching license, registering as a sex offender and being put on probation couldn't deter Levittown resident Bradley Dieffenbacher, 34, from sending minors sexually explicit messages online.
A former math teacher at Russell Sage Junior High School in Forest Hills, Queens, Dieffenbacher was charged in February 2008 with sexually assaulting eight of his students over the internet. The students targeted were 12 and 13 year old males.
Dieffenbacher was accused of having inappropriate conversations, encouraging the minors to look at porn and directing one boy to masturbate over a webcam.

The sex offender pleaded guilty. He was put on probation and his teaching license was revoked. He then got a job with the Highway Toll Administration (HTA) in Great Neck.
HTA caught Dieffenbacher violating probation when they discovered he was advertising himself as a tutor on Craigslist and sending inappropriate instant messages to minors from his work computer.

Dieffenbacher was sentenced to between two and six years in prison.
"The defendant has admitted to trying to take advantage of the young students he was entrusted to teach" Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said after Dieffenbacher's arrest. "A classroom should always be a safe place for a child. This case should serve as a clear and unmistakable warning that law enforcement is prepared to apprehend and prosecute those who attempt to engage in illicit activity involving children."
While Dieffenbacher was serving this sentence, Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice investigated his office computer and discovered 16 illicit messages. He is now sentenced to three and a half to seven years in prison.
"Even while on probation and losing his teaching license, this sex offender continued to prey on our children," Rice said. "He needs to be in jail. Since taking office, keeping our children safe from sexual predators has been one of my top priorities, and I will continue to fight to ensure that they spend every possible second behind bars."
