Levittown Tony’s Tacos Plan Gets Site Plan Approval From Town Of Hempstead
The Town of Hempstead approved the site plan for an application that would bring a Tony's Tacos to Levittown at its May 27 meeting.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Levittonians got one step closer to having a Tony’s Tacos in town Wednesday, as the Town of Hempstead passed a resolution granting site plan approval to a proposal for the construction of the Italian taco restaurant.
Listed as item 35 in the administrative calendar, the Town Board approved the site plan approval unanimously as part of a vote to approve the entire administrative calendar Wednesday.
The site plan covers the construction and site improvements of a piece of property on the north side of the Hempstead Turnpike, 328 feet east of the intersection with Jerusalem Avenue in Levittown. Under the terms of the site plan, town documents say, the restaurant will be one-story tall.

A lease for the eatery was signed in January; the broker who handled that lease signing said the Italian taco fusion restaurant was targeting an opening in the fourth quarter of 2026. Once it’s open, the taco shop will serve tacos featuring Italian staple flavors like chicken parm, mushroom risotto, surf & turf and short rib Peter Luger, all in a 4,000 square-foot storefront next to the Ulta Beauty at the Levittown Mews.
