Local Tutoring Spots

This week, Levittown Patch searched local tutoring centers to help students with academics. We found everything reading and math help, SAT preparation and high school entrance exam sessions to tutors for young children and specialized programs. Sylvan Learning Center

Sylvan offers a variety of programs for children in elementary school to students in older grades. Get assistance in subjects or even test and college preparation. All of the staff are certified and trained, according to Sylvan’s website.

Tutor Time

For younger children, Tutor Time is a child-care center and learning experience for all who attend. The have unique curriculums, including those focusing in reading, math, design, music and more. Tutor Time looks to ensure a comfortable, safe and enriching learning environment, the website says.

Students who are looking to study for standardized college admittance tests look no further! Tri-State Tutoring specializes in focused SAT and ACT preparation sessions – something that has become imperative with the competitive college admissions process. According to its website, Tri-State Tutoring also offers services for college applications and essays.
 
Huntington Learning Center

Huntington Learning Center has tutoring services for a variety of age groups, including standard grade school services as well as PSAT, SAT and ACT preparation. The location in Massapequa Park provides state testing sessions and training for high school entrance examinations, according to its website.
 
Kumon Math and Reading Center
