Man Recorded Women In Nassau Tanning Salons: Police

Police say the man recorded multiple women while they were in private rooms at Beach Bum Tanning salons.

Nassau police arrested a Wantagh man who they say was videotaping women at multiple tanning salons.

According to police, while at Beach Bum Tanning, located at 3151 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, a woman saw Jake Gabler-Colotti, 22, of Tusk Lane, Wantagh, using a camera to record her while she was in a private tanning room.

The woman called police, and Gabler-Colotti was arrested at the salon.

Police say an investigation revealed that Gabler-Colotti had also taped female customers at Beach Bum Tanning salons Seaford and Plainview, as well as more women in the Levittown location.

Gabler-Colotti was charged with two counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance, and was previously arraigned on March 13 in First District Court in Hempstead.
