Photos: Monster Music Hosts Student Showcase
Music students of all ages performed live at Faddy Malone's Sunday.
Faddy Malone's of Levittown was a packed house Sunday afternoon as dozens of family and friends poured in to the Monster Music student showcase.
Brian Reardon, owner of Levittown's Monster Music, organizes the student showcases twice each year, offering the students a unique opportunity to perform live with other beginners.
"It gives our students a real dimension to their lesson program outside of the room their working in every week," Reardon said. "It allows them to have something to look forward to. It's really great."

"It was hot in here today, and it's uncomfortable, but it's impressive that they're brave enough to fight the discomfort and a crowd and get up there to perform for us," he added. "For about 80 percent of our performers, it's their first showcase and often their first time performing on a stage."
Reardon noted the store's general manager, Mike Z., voice program director, Jackie Toner, and nearly a dozen other instructor's active role in making the showcase possible.

"They handle most of the details in putting this event together," Reardon explained. "They'll often participate or sit in with a student who may be a little more shy, whether they do a duet or just want to make them a bit more comfortable before they go on stage."
