Nassau County Gets New Uber Food Delivery Service
Residents in certain areas of Nassau can now use their phone to get food delivered from dozens of restaurants.

UberEATS, the food-delivery service powered by ride-sharing company Uber, has launched in Nassau County, giving residents in certain areas the ability to easily order food for a flat fee.
The service is not available in the entire area yet: it's right now limited to central Nassau County, south of the LIE and north of the bays. It is unavailable in Long Beach and North Shore communities, but Uber still plans to expand.
To use the service, residents download the UberEATS app and pick a restaurant to order from. There is a fee of $4.99 for delivery, plus there may be additional fees if the service is particularly busy at the time you're ordering.

UberEATS is separate from the ride-sharing Uber. The drivers for UberEATS are only delivering food, not ferrying passengers.
Some of the initial Nassau County restaurants that have signed up include Hush Bistro in Farmingdale, Bareburger in Rockville Centre, Campagne House in Bethpage and many more.

Restaurants can sign up to be part of UberEATS by visting the website. Uber takes a percentage of the sale as part of its fee for providing the service.
