New York's Most Misspelled Word Is...

These days, Google seems to keep track of everything. Including, it seems, what we don't know. A recently released list by the search giant shows what words each state has the most trouble spelling.

The word more New Yorkers misspelled than any other: beautiful.

New York was not alone in struggling with that word, either. It was also the most misspelled word by California, Kentucky and Minnesota.

Some of the words on the list are surprising. New Hampshire had a tough time with "difficult," New Mexico went ape trying to spell "bananas" and North Dakota was in quite a pickle trying to spell "dilemma." There were two states — Connecticut and West Virginia — that found "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," the fake word from Mary Poppins, the hardest to spell.

However, the winning state on the list (if there can be a winner) is Wisconsin. The word most Wisconsinites had trouble spelling? "Wisconsin."
