Nick Boldi went 2-2, sparking Division Dragons Varsity to a 8-3 victory in seven innings over Seaford on Monday at Doug Robins field. Boldi singled in the first and fifth innings. Anthony Semonella got it done on the hill on the way to a win. Semonella allowed three runs over five innings, struck out five, walked four and gave up seven hits. In the top of the first, Seaford grabbed the early lead, 2-0 with a single, a triple and an error. Division Dragons Varsity quickly matched Seaford's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the bottom of the first. Division Dragons Varsity scored on an RBI single by Mark Martinez and an RBI double by Dan Boldi. Division Dragons Varsity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring five runs on a two-run error, an RBI single by Tyler Epple, a walk by Jesse Natale and a wild pitch. One run in the top of the fourth helped Seaford close its deficit to 8-3. An RBI single by fueled Seaford's comeback. The Seaford threat came to an end when Semonella finally got the final out on a fly out.
