Pair Charged In Nassau Gas Station Gunpoint Robberies

BREAKING: The twosome allegedly robbed two different gas stations last September.

Nassau County police arrested a pair from Levittown on Thursday in connection with two different armed robberies from last September.

Nicholas Rom, 21, of Springtime Lane, and Joelle Sessions, 28, of Glazer Lane, both of Levittown, were arrested and charged for robberies in Wantagh and Levittown.

According to police, the first robbery occurred on Sept. 6, 2016. Police sway Rom, armed with a handgun, approached the clerk at OK Petroleum gas station, located at 767 Wantagh Ave. in Wantagh, and demanded money. The victim complied and Rom allegedly fled on foot with the cash.

Then, on Sept. 7, police say they struck again, this time holding up the Ultra Gas Station, located at 3300 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.

Rom and Sessions are each being charged with first- and second-degree robbery. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
