Pedestrian Seriously Hurt In Hempstead Turnpike Car Crash
The victim was taken to a local hospital, while the driver remained at the scene.

LEVITTOWN, NY — A man was struck by a car and badly hurt on Thursday night in Levittown, Nassau police said.
The victim, who police said is approximately 60 years old, was walking across Hempstead Turnpike near Jerusalem Avenue, just before midnight, when he was hit by a 2013 Nissan Altima.
The 32-year-old male driver remained at the scene, and he was not injured, authorities said.

The victim was brought to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition. He suffered serious head and chest trauma.
No charges have been filed, but police are investigating.
