PSEG To Start Electrical Upgrades In Levittown Next Month
The work will make electric lines more resilient to storms and decrease outages.

Starting next month, PSEG Long Island, the area's electrical utility, will be performing work in Levittown to increase the resiliency of the area's electric infrastructure.
Beginning in July and lasting approximately 10 months, PSEG licensed and approved contractors will work on the route, replacing existing wires, installing new and more durable poles, and installing or replacing switching equipment. All of these infrastructure upgrades will help reduce the number of customers affected by an outage.
"PSEG Long Island is continually looking to ensure that its customers have the most reliable and resilient service possible," said John O’Connell, PSEG Long Island vice president of transmission and distribution operations. "Adding this FEMA-funded project in Levittown ensures that even more customers have the upgraded and reliable service that they deserve."
