Preliminary Retail Plans in Progress for Former Waldbaums Site

The store has not had a permanent tenant since Waldbaums closed last October.

A permanent tenant may soon return to the former Waldbaums in the Levittown Mews for the first time since the grocery store's close 13 months ago.

Wilbur Breslin, the president and CEO of Breslin Realty, who owns the lease on the building, said that the company is currently in the preliminary stages of working out a long-term lease for a potential new tenant. Breslin declined to give specifics about the company beyond calling the tenant a "very good retail tenant." He said that he expected the deal to be completed "in 30 days or so."

Waldbaums closed in October 2010. Last month, a Halloween store temporarily set up shop in the building. Other tenants of the Levittown Mews include Hurricane Grill & Wings, Lane Bryant, The Children's Place and ULTA.
