Student Leaders Selected For Seminar
Levittown students been selected to represent the district at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar.
From Levittown Schools: The Levittown Public Schools is pleased to announce that sophomores Natalie Chua and Danielle Tear from Division Avenue High School and Nick Bonavita and Emily Zhang from General Douglas MacArthur High School have recently been selected to represent the district at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar, to be held at Adelphi University in June of 2019.
The goal of the seminar is to empower high school sophomores to develop their leadership talents while participating in hands-on leadership and team building workshops. The students will also have the opportunity to meet state leaders and sophomores from other high schools while learning how to make a positive impact in their community. The students were chosen through an in-depth selection process at their high school’s comprised of a nomination, essay and interview and for having embodied core HOBY values including volunteerism, integrity, excellence, diversity and community partnership.
