1 Taken Into Custody In North Amityville After Shots Fired: PD

A woman was transported to a local hospital "for evaluation;" no one was injured, Suffolk police said.

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A woman was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after officers responded to a home in North Amityville where there was a report of shots fired, Suffolk County police said.

At about 3:20 a.m. officers responding to a 911 call learned one shot was fired inside of a Great Neck Road home, while the other was fired from a van in the driveway, but “no one was injured,” police said. Latanya Klough, 41, was taken into custody and was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of child endangerment, police said.

Klough was transported to a local hospital “for evaluation,” police said. First Squad detectives are continuing to investigate, according to police.
