101 Days and Dalmatians at Daniel Street Elementary

While most elementary schools recognize the 100th day of school as a major milestone, first-grade students at Daniel Street Elementary School in the Lindenhurst took a different approach. Students honored the 101st full day of school instead.

The day was marked with a celebration in which students, donning black and white to pay homage to Disney’s “101 Dalmatians,” worked diligently at Dalmatian-themed English language arts and mathematics centers. Centers included activities such as creative writing, a number search and the construction of their very own Dalmatian with 101 spots.
