1K+ Child Sex Abuse Images Found In Lindenhurst Home: Police

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man was arrested Thursday after police said investigators found more than 1,000 child sex abuse images on electronic devices.

Richard Enstad, 68, has been charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, police said.

Police say multiple electronic devices were seized, and investigators found more than 1,000 child sex abuse images at his Lindenhurst home.

Suffolk County police said detectives with the Digital Forensics Unit launched an investigation after receiving a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Enstad is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
