2 Found Trespassing in Wee Hours At Amityville HS: PD

A 23-year-old man and 17-year-old girl were caught at the school early Monday, police say.

AMITYVILLE, NY - A teenage girl and a 23-year-old Lindenhurst man were charged with trespassing at Amityville Memorial High School early Monday, according to Amityville Village Police.

At about 1:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of an alarm activated at the high school located on 250 Merrick Road, police said.

Officer William End saw a car exiting the school parking lot and proceeded to stop the vehicle, police said.

After an investigation both occupants of the car, Robert Cantelmo and the unidentified teen, were arrested, police said.

Both were charged with third degree criminal trespass.

There were no reports of any damage to the school nor any property missing.
