2 Teenagers Charged With Gang Assault in Copiague: PD
The juveniles were arrested after assaulting a Copiague High School student, police said.
COPIAGUE, NY - Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with assaulting a Copiague High School student, Suffolk County police said.
The 19-year-old was standing at the corner of Dixon Avenue and Bethpage Road at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said, when he was surrounded by several other students. According to police, a 15-year-old male held the student while a 16-year-old male punched him repeatedly. A third unidentified subject also participated in the assault, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The two juveniles were later arrested and charged with second-degree gang assault, police said. Both were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Central Islip.
