3 Running For 2 Open Seats On Lindenhurst Village Board

One incumbent and two challengers will be on the ballot for this year's election.

LINDENHURST, NY - Three candidates will be running for two open seats on the Lindenhurst Village Board this year.

Incumbent Maryann Weckerle will be seeking a fourth, four-year term on the board.

The other open seat will be left open by trustee Darrel Kost, who announced earlier this month that he will be retiring.

Two challengers, Shawn Cullinane and Patrick Pichichero, will be also be running against Weckerle.

Both challengers have experience working for the village. Cullinane retired last year as the village clerk-treasurer after 29 years on the job while Pichichero was the appointed chairman of the zoning board of appeals for 7 years.

Residents can vote on Tuesday. Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
