78-Year-Old Man Assaulted In Spiffy Lube Parking Lot: PD

COPIAGUE, NY —Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people who they say assaulted a 78-year old man in Copiague in February.

On Feb. 14, at about 10 a.m., a man assaulted the victim in the parking lot of Spiffy Lube Autocare, located at 990 Montauk Highway, police said.

The man then fled in a white Mercedes Benz G-Wagon SUV with a black bumper and roof, police said. He is described as white, approximately 30 to 35 years old, about 6-feet tall, and has a muscular build, police said.

A white female who engaged in a verbal altercation with the man prior to the assault, followed the man in a newer model Mercedes Benz sedan, police said.
