Albany Avenue Elementary School Librarian Sarah Feder was recently awarded a $1,500 “Full STEAM Ahead” grant from TangerKids. The grant money will be used to accentuate STEAM-related offerings and activities at the Albany school library. Materials purchased will be available for all students at the school, helping them to express their creativity and critical thinking skills while having fun.

TangerKids is an arm of the shopping mall real estate firm that provides grants to schools nationwide to bolster services and purchase extra materials. Ms. Feder, who runs Albany’s weekly STEAM club, applied for the grant in October 2023 to purchase extra materials for both the club and all students who visit the school library.
