Amityville Woman Drove With 43 License Suspensions: Police

The 24-year-old was caught driving with her suspended license on Monday, police say.

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY - An Amityville woman was arrested for driving with 43 license suspensions after she was stopped for traffic violations in North Amityville on Monday evening, according to Suffolk Police.

Officers initiated a traffic stop after they observed a 2007 Toyota with an expired inspection sticker traveling eastbound on West Prospect Street, police said.

Officers discovered the driver, 24-year-old Amber White, did not possess a driver’s license and her New York State identification card had been suspended 43 times due to numerous traffic violations, police said.

White also had six active outstanding traffic warrants, police said.

She was charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

She was also issued her a summons driving without a license and cleared the outstanding warrants, police said.

White was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned on August 7.
