NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A woman was injured after a shot was fired into a North Amityville home early Tuesday morning, Suffolk County police said.
The gunfire struck a residence on Walnut Street at about 3:50 a.m. on Aug. 4, police said. A woman inside the home was hit and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
She was taken for medical treatment. Police did not immediately release her identity or provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating.
