LINDENHURST, NY — A man accused of burglarizing a Lindenhurst home was tracked down with the help of a police drone and arrested after a short foot chase, Suffolk County Police said.
Officers responded to a home on Richmond Avenue at about 7:06 p.m. Monday after receiving a 911 call reporting a burglary, police said.
The suspect fled before officers arrived, prompting police to deploy a Drone as a first responder to search the area, according to authorities.
Using information provided by witnesses, detectives operating the drone located the suspect and directed officers on the ground to him, police said.
Following a short foot pursuit, Isaias Miranda, 26, of Lindenhurst, was arrested on Kings Avenue at about 7:42 p.m., police said.

Miranda was charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. He was arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
