NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — Suffolk County police are searching for two armed men accused of recklessly endangering a child during a confrontation at a North Amityville park earlier this week.
Two men accompanied by a child were approached by two other men armed with handguns at Bolden Mack Park, located at 3453 Great Neck Road, around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 5, police said.
One of the armed men struck one of the adult victims with a pistol, causing a gunshot to be fired, police said. No one was struck by the bullet.
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help identifying and locating the two men involved.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
