My stepdad walked through deep water back home to get a row boat so he could take my worried sick mom to their home to evaluate the damage. Dan and I knew we had to be there for them.
We made our way to South Bay Street, and what we witnessed looked like a scene from a movie or a tornado, perhaps. Many distraught families walked with their belongings in plastic bags as the tears rolled down the cheeks.

I could see debris everywhere as we approached my family’s once beautiful home. Waves from the bay were
still rolling in, the winds were strong and the smell of fuel lingered everywhere.
Inside the home, we could see remains of the bay, black muck on the floors and water lines three feet high on the walls, seaweed everywhere.
Not many words were spoken at first; we were in disbelief, shocked. I could see the stress on my mom’s face and
the pain and disappointment in her eyes. For many this morning was heartbreaking.
The Platinum Plumbing Family sponsored a Soup Day for Lindenhurst residents at Shore Road Park on November 5, 2012.
Several of us loaded up wagons and walked door to door serving hot soup, including our three and five-year-old daughters.
As the holidays approach many families are still in need.
Once again myself, my stepbrother Rob Fantel II, Vice President of Platinum Plumbing, and the entire Platinum Plumbing Family are reaching out to the Lindenhurst residents to show them we truly care.
Platinum Plumbing will be hosting an “.
One family will be picked from a lottery drawing to receive a new, installed hot water and heating system in their home.
Details and updates will continue to be posted to Lindenhurst Patch.
Warmest Regards,
Frank Strasser, Jr.
