Auto Repair Shop Owner Arrested For Insurance Fraud: SCPD
The 28-year-old Long Island man was charged on Friday for submitting fraudulent billing documents for repairs, police say.

AMITYVILLE, NY - The owner of an Amityville automotive repair shop was arrested on Friday for submitting fraudulent insurance claims for repairs on a vehicle, according to Suffolk Police.
Andrew Nuss, the owner of Village Line Auto Body on 123 Albany Avenuee submitted fraudulent billing documentation for repairs on a vehicle between December 12, 2018 and January 23, 2019, police said.
Detectives from the Property/Auto Crime Unit conducted a joint investigation with the National Insurance Crime Bureau, New York State Department of Financial Services Insurance Fraud Unit, Allstate, MetLife Auto and Home.

As a result, Nuss, 28, of Lindenhurst was arrested at Village Line Auto Body on February 1, police said.
He was charged with third degree insurance fraud, third degree grand larceny and second degree falsifying business records.

He was scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
