On May 1, students of the Adelphi Physical Education and Advanced Swimming classes at Lindenhurst High School took part in the ninth annual Bulldog Triathlon. The race consisted of a 200-yard swim, followed by a five-mile bike ride and a two-mile run.
Robert Kirgan and Trista Seara were the first male and female competitors to cross the finish line. Robert, the first overall, finished the race in an impressive 38:24 minutes and was followed by Brian Steiger and Cabel McCandless, who placed second and third respectively. Trista paved the way for the female competitors, completing the race in 47:32 minutes.
