Celebrating the Season with Seniors

From Syntax: Members of the student council at Lindenhurst High School entertained senior citizens from local Lindenhurst senior programs during the high school’s annual holiday luncheon. The day began with a musical performance by the Lindenhurst High School concert choir and symphonic band, whose presentations included holiday songs such as the “Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Festival Sanctus” and “Christmas Time is Here” in addition to familiar classics such as “Gee, officer Krupke,” from West Side Story.

Donning “ugly holiday sweaters,” student council members greeted and spoke with the invited attendees as they entered the library, which was decorated in a festive holiday motif. Twelfth-grade members of the orchestra provided entertainment while guests enjoyed lunch, which was prepared by the students in the food and nutrition classes.
