Daniel Street Elementary Students Decorate Forests with Sweet Treats

All third-grade students at Daniel Street Elementary School recently created candy land forests, using their imaginations to decorate winter wonderland scenes with a variety of sweets.

Ice cream cones were flipped over to become forest trees, frosting turned into ice-skating rinks, licorice was used for huts, and gummy bears became forest animals.

“It was amazing to see the imaginations of the third-graders,” said teacher Alana Buffa. “It was a fun and festive afternoon.” After the activity, students wrote about their individual projects in their journals.
