Daniel Street Students Earn Their Spots
While many schools celebrate the 100th day of school, local students took a different approach and honored the 101st full day of school.
From Lindenhurst Schools: While many schools celebrate the 100th day of school, first-grade students at Daniel Street Elementary School in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District took a different approach and honored the 101st full day of school as well.
The day was marked with a celebration in which students, donning black and white to pay homage to Disney’s “101 Dalmatians,” worked diligently at Dalmatian- themed English language arts and mathematics centers. Centers included activities such as creative writing, a number search and the construction of their very own Dalmatian with 101 spots.
