Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes

The Lindenhurst Middle School's Gifted & Talented students along with Sydney Kalish are hosting a JDRF Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes.  Juvenile diabetes is an incurable disease that affects mostly children.  In 1975 parents of children with juvenile diabetes founded the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to fund research with hopes of finding a cure.

All members of Lindenhurst Schools:  students, faculty, staff, parents, board members and administration are encouraged to participate in this charitable event.  The Walk will be taking place on Thursday June 9, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Middle School Track and Field.  Even if you are unable to attend the event, your donation will be greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in helping out at the event, please email Nancy Bracht at nbracht@lindenhurstschools.org.  We hope you will help us in helping JDRF find a cure.
