Firefighters Battle Blaze At West Babylon Commercial Building

The fire broke out Tuesday morning.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A fire broke out at a West Babylon commercial building Tuesday morning. The blaze broke out at Amscor Inc. on Lamar Street at about 6 a.m.

According to Suffolk police, the building was fully engulfed and the building collapsed. The East Farmingdale and West Babylon Fire Departments responded and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Photos from the scene show heavy black smoke coming from the building.
