One Hospitalized After Lindenhurst House Fire

LINDENHURST, NY -A fire broke out at a Lindenhurst home on Monday night.

The Lindenhurst Fire Department was called to a house fire on Washington Avenue at 9:26 p.m.

Responding firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a second floor window of the one and a half story home.

The blaze was knocked down quickly.

Suffolk Police say two people were in the house when the fire started.

One was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
