Lindenhurst LA Fitness Worker Claims Sexual Harassment
A woman working at an LA Fitness gym in Lindenhurst claimed her supervisor, a man, sexually harassed and discriminated against her.

LINDENHURST, NY — A Babylon woman is claiming her co-worker at a Lindenhurst gym sexually harassed her and discriminated against her over the past five months, according to a recent court complaint she filed. The woman provided several claims accusing her supervisor, a man who works as a personal trainer, of inappropriate behavior dating back to September while she was working at LA Fitness on Park Avenue.
One claim the woman made was the trainer asked her to see a photo of her in a thong in October. Another accusation she made is the trainer asked her if she wanted to see "Antonio" while looking down at his groin, leading her to believe he was referencing his genitals.
The woman claimed the trainer also discriminated against her on several occasions including asking her to order an extra-small company shirt so that it would be tight and telling her in front of two other male co-workers that he hired her only because of her "big butt," according to the complaint.

The woman claimed the trainer had her perform tasks such as driving him to CVS to pick up his medication, driving him to the shopping outlets, and taking him to dinner at a Japanese restaurant.
She claimed that when she reported her claims to the LA Fitness human resources department, the trainer was still allowed to work there until January, when was transferred to the North Babylon LA Fitness.

"Women deserved to be treated fairly in the workplace," the woman's lawyer, David H. Rosenberg, said. "We sincerely hope that LA Fitness changes its policies and practices as it relates to sexual harassment and retaliation complaints."
Patch reached out to a manager at LA Fitness who said he could not comment on ongoing litigation.
